Expand your aquatic therapy skills by learning Watsu with internationally renowned Watsu instructor and physiotherapist, Peggy Schoedinger. This advanced aquatic therapy seminar will provide in-depth instruction in the uses and adaptations of Watsu techniques in a clinical setting for the treatment of orthopedic and neurological impairments. The emphasis will be on extensive instruction and practice time in the pool. Videos will be shown of these techniques in use with a variety of orthopedic and neurological patient populations. Learn how to use these techniques to decrease spasticity, decrease muscle spasm, decrease pain and increase range of motion. Detailed handouts will cover all of the techniques. Come learn the incredible possibilities of Watsu for your clients! Prerequisite: Some aquatic bodywork training (either Watsu 1, AQUATERNATIVES® foundation or Basic Healing Dance).Peggy has taught this course for participant with a wide range of experiences. This class includes most of Watsu I, some of Watsu II and some of Peggy’s Watsu III Adapted. It's the best of the best of Watsu for working with people with special needs. If people have already taken Watsu I and II, then some of the class will be review for them, and they will be learning how to adapt and modify it.

Peggy has 28 years of extensive experience developing comprehensive aquatic therapy programs for neurological, orthopedic, sports medicine and pediatric patient populations. Peggy is the only physiotherapist in the world who is a certified Watsu instructor for Levels I, II and III. She specializes in teaching therapists and practitioners ways to adapt Watsu for clients with special needs. Since 1990 she has used Watsu in thousands of hours of treatments for adult and pediatric patients with orthopedic and neurological challenges. Peggy is also certified in The Halliwick Concept Levels I, II and Advanced Halliwick, the Bad Ragaz Ring Method, WaterDance, Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy.
