Description
WATSU 1
Part 1 - BASIC WATSU:
Experience the stillness that is the ground of presence, and incorporate the way the heart and breath connection can be maintained throughout a Watsu session.
On land students will be introduced to both Co-Centering and Tantsu and explore and share what being held means to you and others.
Students will learn to support someone and stay grounded in water. They will learn the body mechanics that underlie Watsu by first following them as Tai Chi and then with a person in their arms.Part 2 - Transition Flow:: 28th January-1st February 2009 (50 Hours) MelbourneStudents learn to apply all they have experienced and learned in Basic Watsu in a simple form that connects all the major positions of Watsu with long gracefully flowing transitions. You learn to adapt this to people of all sizes, shapes and dispositions. You learn about your own body mechanics-how to support and move each person as effortlessly as possible in water.
Instructor: Batia Siegel (Israel)
Batia brings to the water 23 years of therapeutic experience. She is a doctor of TCM, teacher of the Alexander technique, Biosynthesis and Somatic Psychotherapist and a certified Watsu instructor in association with Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association (WABA).
